Enrolling for 2025-26
3rd - 5th Grade

Self-Directed Learning Model
Students set goals and work through units of study at a self-directed pace with teacher guidance and support. Teachers will work with students individually and in small groups as needed. Students can extend their learning and gain a deeper understanding of content through hands-on activities, gameplay, and cooperative learning.  Self-directed learning leads to higher engagement, more substantial learning outcomes, and gains in time-management skills.
Learning for Mastery
Students' daily work and activities will be used to gain understanding through practice and reteaching. Students will show mastery of learning through short, periodic mastery checks leading to more comprehensive unit assessments.  Core Subjects: Language Arts (including cursive handwriting) Math Science American History
Wholistic Development
We take care to provide a well-rounded education. Students need opportunities to develop socially and physically as well as cognitively. Students will have daily free play time outdoors and brain breaks as required. Our small class sizes allow for strong peer friendships and a school community.Â
Enrichment
Students will participate in a variety of enrichment classes and activities. Chapel STEAM Studio Innovation & Inquiry Lab Root & Thread: Home Skills Field Trips
